One warm Savannah morning, I witnessed 3 young black men being interrogated by officers. They stood in a straight line facing the road, feet firmly planted as squadron cars formed an audience at the nearest curb. I was imbued with empathy, disconcertion, and hostility all at once. The 3 men respectively emanated the exact same impressions, each one a state of consciousness accompanied by its own visceral vibration. My intention is to share a vestige of that experience and its intricacies.
