Works In Progress
This body of work aims to highlight the essence of sonic ecosystems through an investigation of their material components. We seldom consider sound’s corporeal existence although sound itself pervades our daily existence in a myriad way, beyond its metaphorical representations. How might an expanded awareness of sound influence our perceptions of and inclinations for sonic experiences?
Music, for example, is a simultaneity of acoustic or digital sound objects and their interactions across time. This collection of modular pieces serves as an apparatus for observing sound both physically and metaphorically, leading to a more nuanced phenomenological understanding - an intimate understanding of the individual’s experience of sound.
